In the 2025 PGA Tour season, Scottie Scheffler solidified his status as the most dominant golfer in the world, capturing six tournament victories — including two major championships at the PGA Championship and The Open Championship — and finishing inside the top 25 in all 20 starts with 17 top-10s. His stellar consistency and performance earned him the Jack Nicklaus Award as the 2025 PGA Tour Player of the Year for the fourth consecutive season, a feat only matched by Tiger Woods, and he also led the Tour in key statistical categories like scoring average and strokes gained. Scheffler maintained his grip on the No. 1 spot in the Official World Golf Ranking throughout the year and paced the Tour with remarkable dominance week after week.
Now… I’m someone who like gambling. Scottie seems like a sure thing based on his 2025 season. Why wouldn’t you bet on him week after week to win?
“Well he only won 6 out of 20 events. So you wouldn’t have won much.”
Ok. Fair. Maybe a win isn’t the only thing to be on. Scottie didn’t finish outside the top 25 in any event he played and he top 10’d in 17. So what if we bet on him to win, and also bet on him to be top 10? The odds wouldn’t be great for a top 10, but at least you would recoup if he didn’t win, right?
So here’s the 2026 season plan. I’m going to be on Scottie each week he plays!
$10 each week on a win and $15 each week for a top 10.
By the end of the 2026 PGA Tour season, we will see what the outcome is! What do you think? Worth while bets or waste of time? Is there another player you’d bet on? Let me know!
